Residential Interiors

Shaping homes across Guildford & Surrey

Every project begins with a complimentary visit to your home, allowing me to experience the space as it truly is and understand how you live within it.

Working across Guildford, Woking, Godalming, Farnham, Haslemere, Leatherhead, Dorking, and the surrounding areas of Surrey, I take time to listen, observe, and carefully shape a brief that reflects both your vision and the character of your home. This initial conversation forms the foundation for a thoughtful, considered design journey.

Following our meeting, I develop a clear proposal that outlines the design direction and scope of work. This gives you the space to reflect, ask questions, and move forward with confidence. Where a particular timeframe is important, this is discussed at the outset, ensuring clarity and trust from the very beginning.

Rooted in a belief that truly successful interiors are timeless rather than trend-led, my approach is guided by balance, restraint, and feeling. Each space is designed to feel personal, enduring, and quietly considered — a home that supports the way you live, both now and into the future.

A considered, collaborative process

Design is a collaborative process built on trust, clarity, and open communication. I guide you through each stage with care, offering clear advice and thoughtful solutions while always respecting your ideas and instincts. My role is to simplify decisions, bring confidence to the process, and ensure every element works together seamlessly.

Whether refining an existing room or reimagining an entire home, I take a measured, considered approach — balancing creativity with practicality. The result is an interior that feels calm, cohesive, and genuinely reflective of you, rather than driven by passing trends.

My design Principles

Our homes shape our wellbeing and influence how we relate to the world. Bringing nature inside through plants, natural patterns like fractals, spirals, or animal-inspired motifs—connects us to the natural world and enhances our living spaces.

Balance and proportion give a space harmony. Symmetry or asymmetry—guided by preference or space—ensures visual balance across materials, textures, colors, furniture, and accessories.

Each space has its own character. I consider the building’s location, setting, and architectural style to ensure the design feels natural and well suited to its surroundings.

This process creates intuitive, effortless interiors that function efficiently, supporting comfort, movement, visual balance, clear zoning, logical flow, and thoughtful furniture placement.

Sometimes a favorite color may not suit a space. I focus on working with what’s there, creating balanced palettes that shape mood, complement natural light, and support everyday living.

Layered textures and thoughtful material choices add depth and warmth. Combining finishes in a considered way creates tactile interest while maintaining cohesion and balance.

Step By Step Process: Stage 1

Begin in your home to understand client needs, preferences and practical requirements to lay the groundwork for your design.  Listen to vision and for what isn’t working for them in their home. Questions to think about – what is in your wish list for the new space? How do you want the space/s to feel? What is your budget and your priorities for the space? You don’t have to have all the answers.

Following the consultation I will prepare this over the next week.  This will detail all the tasks discussed and will show a cost for each of the steps required for your project.

2D plan drawings presented to explore various layouts for the specific spaces.  (Space Planning is the strategic organisation of a space to ensure it will function efficiently.)

Create and present design concepts ensuring they align with the clients vision.  Concepts will show an overall feeling of the space with images and samples of any finishes, including textiles and furniture. 3D drawings created to show overall plan and elevations as required to detail positioning for electrics and plumbing.

Cabinetry designed to your requirements for example bookcases, media units or storage for specific items. Concept drawings, not working drawings.

Stage 2

At this point the designs are yours to take and implement the works yourself.

Second Proposal

Costs for implementation of the design. Management of the project as required on and off site. Procurement of items. Working Drawings for any bespoke furniture.

Implementation of the design.

Prepare scope of works for builders and or individual trades to tender for the works. Appoint the team to carry out works. Ensure all trades have the correct drawings to work from. Be available to the site team to avoid delays where possible.

End of Project.

Handover to client, resolve any snags with the site team. Relay information about products purchased with guarantees for any ongoing aftercare. Ensure complete satisfaction of client.

Frequently asked questions

Designing a home is a considered process, and it is natural to have questions along the way. Here you will find answers to some of the points clients commonly raise. For anything more specific, I am always happy to discuss your requirements.

Yes. I work on a wide range of residential projects, from individual room schemes through to full home renovations. Whether you are rethinking a single space or approaching a more comprehensive redesign, the process remains thoughtful, practical, and tailored to your needs.

Every project begins with a conversation. This allows me to understand how you live, how you use your space, and what you would like to achieve. From there, I develop a considered scheme, guiding you through layout, materials, furnishings, and finishes. The approach is collaborative, clear, and carefully paced.

Absolutely. Many clients wish to retain items with sentimental or practical value. Where appropriate, existing pieces are thoughtfully integrated into the scheme, ensuring the finished space feels cohesive rather than replaced for the sake of it.

Yes, project management is an option if required. Together we can appoint a builder and I can work alongside the builder to deliver the project.

I primarily work in Guildford and Woking, as well as the surrounding areas including Godalming, Farnham, Haslemere, Cranleigh, Weybridge, Cobham, Esher, Leatherhead, and surrounding Surrey towns. If you are unsure whether your location falls within my working area, please feel free to get in touch.

Ideally, as early as possible. Involvement at the planning stage often leads to more cohesive and practical results, particularly when layouts, joinery, or building works are involved. That said, I am equally happy to assist once a project is underway or when a space simply needs refreshing.
