Balance and proportion give a space harmony. Symmetry or asymmetry—guided by preference or space—ensures visual balance across materials, textures, colors, furniture, and accessories.
My interior design journey began in Guildford, where I established my studio and started creating thoughtful, considered interiors. Today, I continue to leave my authentic mark on both residential and commercial spaces across Surrey, designing environments that feel personal, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who use them.
With over twenty-five years of experience in the interior design industry, I’ve worked across private homes and show homes for house builders, giving me a broad understanding of how spaces are lived in and presented. Having seen trends come and go, I believe the most successful interiors are not driven by fashion, but shaped around the people who inhabit them.
Since founding my own design practice in 2016, I’ve had the privilege of working in many beautiful homes. Every project begins with getting to know you and your space, drawing inspiration from the colours, objects, and details that already exist. These elements often provide the foundation for a design that feels natural, cohesive, and uniquely yours.
Nature sits at the heart of my design approach. Inspired by the colours of the sky, the textures of plants, and the ever-changing tones of the landscape, I bring elements of the outdoors into interior spaces. By creating this connection with nature, I design environments that feel calm, uplifting, and supportive of everyday wellbeing.
Our homes shape our wellbeing and influence how we relate to the world. Bringing nature inside through plants, natural patterns like fractals, spirals, or animal-inspired motifs—connects us to the natural world and enhances our living spaces.

Each space has its own character. I consider the building’s location, setting, and architectural style to ensure the design feels natural and well suited to its surroundings.
This process creates intuitive, effortless interiors that function efficiently, supporting comfort, movement, visual balance, clear zoning, logical flow, and thoughtful furniture placement.
Sometimes a favorite color may not suit a space. I focus on working with what’s there, creating balanced palettes that shape mood, complement natural light, and support everyday living.
Layered textures and thoughtful material choices add depth and warmth. Combining finishes in a considered way creates tactile interest while maintaining cohesion and balance.

Space planning is at the heart of every well-designed interior. It’s about understanding how you live and shaping a layout that supports daily routines with ease and clarity.
Designing a home is a considered process, and it is natural to have questions along the way. Here you will find answers to some of the points clients commonly raise. For anything more specific, I am always happy to discuss your requirements.
Yes. I work on a wide range of residential projects, from individual room schemes through to full home renovations. Whether you are rethinking a single space or approaching a more comprehensive redesign, the process remains thoughtful, practical, and tailored to your needs.
Every project begins with a conversation. This allows me to understand how you live, how you use your space, and what you would like to achieve. From there, I develop a considered scheme, guiding you through layout, materials, furnishings, and finishes. The approach is collaborative, clear, and carefully paced.
Absolutely. Many clients wish to retain items with sentimental or practical value. Where appropriate, existing pieces are thoughtfully integrated into the scheme, ensuring the finished space feels cohesive rather than replaced for the sake of it.
Yes, project management is an option if required. Together we can appoint a builder and I can work alongside the builder to deliver the project.
I primarily work in Guildford and Woking, as well as the surrounding areas including Godalming, Farnham, Haslemere, Cranleigh, Weybridge, Cobham, Esher, Leatherhead, and surrounding Surrey towns. If you are unsure whether your location falls within my working area, please feel free to get in touch.
Ideally, as early as possible. Involvement at the planning stage often leads to more cohesive and practical results, particularly when layouts, joinery, or building works are involved. That said, I am equally happy to assist once a project is underway or when a space simply needs refreshing.
To be honest we have wondered in the past as to why we ever might need an Interior Designer's help and now we know. Wish we'd done this years ago! Nikki brought us options such as the Oriel window which we never knew existed. Together with Nigel, her electrician, Nikki has shown us how our lighting makes such a huge difference.
